When you think of menopause, images of a woman in her 50’s and 60’s with hot flushes and mood swings is often what comes to mind. Although this absolutely can be the case, what is not spoken about often enough is hormonal changes can start happening to a woman in her late 30’s, early 40’s. Initially this may present as mood changes, a lower resilience to stress, unexplained weight gain and changes to your menstrual cycle (lighter, heavier, shortening of length).
