Hi I'm Kylie

My journey has been a rocky one, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. All of my experiences have allowed me to really understand what my clients are going through, because I've been there too. During my hormonal and fertility journey, I felt so disempowered by my own lack of knowledge. This is why I have been studying for many years to become a degree qualified naturopath, so that I can help other women feel empowered to take control of their own health journeys.

I am a wife and mother of two little people, lover of exercise pants (even on non-gym days), coffee, sunshine, exercise, a cheeky wine, and yummy acai bowls! I'm not perfect, but I am pretty damn happy with my life, however things weren’t always like they are now….

During my fertility journey, I experienced numerous miscarriages, ovulation induction, many rounds of IVF and laparoscopic surgery... unfortunately none of it worked for me.

Although modern medicine truly is amazing, I was relying on IVF to fix ALL of my health issues, rather than addressing the underlying root cause of my hormonal and fertility problems.

At this stage I was still in a super stressful job, a huge coffee addict and skipping meals so I could fit a few wines into my 1200 calorie-controlled day.

After losing all hope of ever becoming a mum, I decided to start focusing on my own health instead of my waist size. I began changing my diet and lifestyle, whilst also dabbling in some naturopathic principles to help heal my broken body. To say the least I was very surprised at 34 years of age; to find out I was pregnant with my son!
But was it a fluke or just a miracle? My inquisitive mind just had to find out. So, with a brand-new baby, I enrolled into a Bachelor of Health Sciences,Naturopathy to discover more...

What I have learnt during my years of studying to become a naturopath, was that conceiving my son was no fluke at all (but still my little miracle). At age 37 we were able to recreate this magic with the natural conception of my daughter. Whether you are trying for a natural conception or about to undertake IVF, there is so much that can be done to prepare the body and the mind for a healthy conception.

Fast forward to now, I am a busy mother of two young kids, with a small business and over 40. I’ve started noticing changes in my skin, my energy levels, my tolerance to stress, my waist size, my periods, and my moods. Our journey with our hormones is ever changing and always keeps us on our toes! At least now I have the tools to help myself!

I tell you my personal story not just as a way for you to get to know me as your practitioner, but also to let you know that I understand what you are going through. In my practice I combine my personal experiences with an evidence based naturopathic approach, to empower and educate women to take charge of their own bodies and achieve their health goals. I am also a big believer that life is about balance, moderation and the 80/20 rule. Most of the time I eat pretty clean with lots of good nutrients, but I also love a wine every now and then! I feel my down to earth approach makes me very relatable to my clients, who don't feel judged or as if they have to be "perfect" all of the time in order to achieve results.

I can't wait to hear your story!

Kylie xx
